Mission, Vision and Values
🧠Our Mission
To provide a dedicated space for men to meet, learn and get healing by participating in indoor & outdoor pursuits, such as camping, bushcraft, conservation, and mental wellbeing programs. Also offering support, group meetings and courses to promote better mental wellbeing, and address the challenges men face with managing their lives.
🔍 Vision
Men’s mental health and overall well-being is often overlooked, yet men have a profound impact on families, and society as a whole. Men’s mental health symptoms are often silent but can result in strained relationships, higher rates of suicide and substance abuse. By teaching emotional literacy, and encouraging open conversations about resilience, our vision is to not only impact the lives of all men, but to build more empathetic communities.
⚖️ Values
Our values are a set of qualities that define the way we want to serve others. Each volunteer understands the importance to not only practice them in their work, but to live by them every day.
Leading by Example
Demonstrating desired behaviours and values through actions, setting a standard for others to follow and inspiring them to adopt similar practices.
Integrity & Honesty
Adhering to moral and ethical principles, ensuring truthfulness and transparency in actions and communication. Building trust and consistensy within relationships.
Mutual Respect
Recognition and appreciation of rights, beliefs, and values of others. Growing an environment where individuals treat each other with dignity and consideration.
Compassion and Empathy
Understanding the feelings of others, coupled with a desire to help & provide support to those in need. Recognising emotional experiences and responding with care.
Sensitivity and Confidentiality
Handling information with care and discretion, ensuring that sensitive details are not disclosed to unauthorised individuals and are protected to maintain privacy and trust.
Optimistic and Realistic
Recognising there’s a balance between having a hopeful, positive outlook and acknowledging the practical realities of a person’s personal situation, by being grounded in what is achievable and realistic.
